1. I thought this would be a good experience to help me decide whether or not I would be able to work with kids these ages. I knew it would also be good for me to step outside of my comfort zone and do something different that I've never done before.
2. I felt that I would gain a greater understanding for how to work with kids and better interact with them to help gain trust and a connection with them to get them to be able to look up to you.
3. I really wanted to learn about how to be a coach of a team and how to help them develop skills and personality traits that help them both on and off the field. I knew by working with coaches like Amy and Wilmer Gonzales, I knew that I would be able to gain a better understanding for thing like that.
4. I was able to meet and work with some great coaches and mentors in this experience. Meeting new coaches besides Amy and Wilmer helped me find new and better ways to help coach these kids.
5. I thought that I would benefit from coaching kids by learning to become a better person and know how to communicate with kids and make an impact in their lives rather than just on the field.
